Stiven Pucar is an accomplished journalist having had a varied career as a newspaper and television journalist.

Starting his career at seventeen as a cadet with Perth’s former Daily News, Stiven finished his cadetship at the paper and moved to the Community Newspaper Group before entering television as a researcher/reporter for channel nine’s Perth Extra.

Deciding to leave journalism a few years later, Stiven focused on his first love, Kung Fu. Having achieved the rank of black belt within four years, the youngest student in the shortest time to do so in the history of Fung Sau Kung Fu worldwide (current 4th degree), he decided to combine his martial arts with his qualifications as a personal trainer and sports coach.

Having made a successful career in the martial arts and fitness industry and a short stint as an action actor in Verdi Cries, Aussie Park Boyz and The Bouncer, Stiven decided to travel. It was during his travels he noticed a disturbing trend that young children where inactive, overweight and in many cases obese, particularly throughout Australia, USA and Europe.

Concerned about children’s health combined with the fabulous news that he was soon to be an uncle again, Stiven returned to Perth to take on the challenge of fighting child obesity and encouraging fitness.

Having planned on writing a book for many years and wanting to prevent his future nieces and all children joining the growing ranks of obesity, Stiven set about achieving both ambitions by writing Alphacise™.
